Charita Selden began her counseling career in the academic arena, working for Lincoln College of Technology in Marietta, Georgia as an academic advisor providing the student body with academic counseling focusing on job preparation and coaching. When she returned to Virginia, she entered the human services side of counseling by working as a Mental Health Technician. It was during her tenure as a Mental Health Technician that she developed a passion for working with the child/adolescent population. Charita started working with Infinity as an office administrator, as well as an intensive in-home counselor before taking over the position of Program Director.
Charita has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a graduate degree in Professional Counseling, and currently working as a Resident in Counseling to earn the designation of LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). In addition, she is certified to provide and instruct Moral Reconation Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI).
